I like the shots of the goalies the best. BTW, Did you run these thru any noiseware?

Alan -high praise - your hockey shots are excellent. no noiseware. I think the noise is acceptable on the players and ice, and only shows up badly in the dark background. thanks.

Good job. Pretty decent lighting for a rec rink (iso1600, 1/500s, F2.8) unless you are underexposing at all.
I really love the framing of #4! Were you on one of the benches? It almost looks like you had to be on the ice taking that one!

Dris -- thanks. I was in the penalty box, shot 4 is just past the blue line on the other side. Of the rinks in my area, this one is the best lit. I set the exposure so the ice shows up in the histogram about 1/2-1 stop away from full right.

Great clear pictures. You took you pictures from a great angle. That's my problem right now. Got to find a good spot to shoot from.
Where were you shooting from?

pdignard -- thanks. I shoot from the penalty box. you can only see faces when your team's on defense, and on breakouts.
