I got a SuperBowl ticket!

A friend of mine got a call from an old college friend of his that manages the ticket department for the Houston Texans. He came upon two tickets- $500 apiece.

Would love to take my 10D, but the rules are cameras are in but no cases! Can risk damage to it or lugging it around ALL day. Gates open nine in the morning and the game is at five-thirty!

You could take a girl or claim you came from Montrose and carry the purse yourself. LOL!

Any die hard EOS shooter would happily lug a 100-400 through a crowd all day to get some good shots. I wouldn't worry so much about damaging it, you sound pretty protective. But if you leave your 10D at home, while you are at the Super Bowl, it's gonna be ticked and will probably start giving you problems to get even! :shock:

You might check the rules a bit more closely. During the Texans 1st season at Reliant, I noticed there was a "maximum length camera lens" they would allow you to carry in. It was something like an 11" camera and lens combined maximum.

Get some good shots for me, I will be home, just 13 miles south of the stadium, out of traffic and the nightmare of crowds...they call The Super Bowl, watching on TV.

I have heard the Stdium's roof will remain closed for the entire game. Kinda makes you wonder why it has a retractable roof, hmm? I was not paying attention to lighting when I went to a game the first year, so, who knows what you will be up against. That is, if you take the camera....
