Has anyone owned or used one? I'm considering it as an all around lense for when I don't want to cary my camera bag. Presantly I have to carry a 28-70L & 70-200L (kinda heavy)

I had one for a long time it worked well with film but soft on the digital side. Currently I have it stored away for emergancy use only, still trying to decide on what to replace it with.
So far the 28-135 IS is looking to be the front runner I don't mind carrying two lense.

They are not know for their sharpness. I think the big selling feature of these lenses is the compact size, for which Tameron excels at.

Based on what's in your bag already, you are bound to be disappointed. The range of focal length is great for all around photography however the quality, in my opinion, is lacking. I've replaced mine with the Canon 28-135 IS. There are a lot of comments and recommendations on this forum for the 28-135.

I was just looking at the lenses you already have. I think you might be a bit disappointed with the tameron 28-200 lense. I used to have this lense and replaced it with a 24-80 Canon lense and 75-300IS/USM Canon. Both these lenses are mid range lense that don't match the quality of what you have. However, both these lenses were much sharper than the Tameron.
