Help! Can anyone tell me why my camera suddenly changed from Large/fine setting to small my photos are only 640X480. I switched between Auto Sport Landscape and used dedicated movie button. What have I done wrong?

That is normal. Auto can use a different setting than sport or landscape if set by the user, when at auto you set it to 640x480, and sport or landscape set to another setting, then photos are different in size when you switch. One setting for all is not available, you have to set it yourself to same sizes, like M can be bigger setting than auto or sport, they all have their own size setting. Set them manually to all the same size and you're okay

Happens to me on both my canon cameras, you have to manually adjust every switch setting to same size if you want, and you're fine.

Sounds like the shortcut button is set to pixel size and was pushed accidently. A good idea for the S3IS is to change the shortcut button to Metering Mode. :D

Me and my big fingers accidently pushed the size shortcutt button too once on my S3 IS, its very easily pushed accidently.

ooh, i didn't know about that, my shortcut button is set for auto focus lock
that would be very frustrating if you didn't know what was causing it

The largest size available in Movie mode is 640x480.
