A very enjoyable weekend at Croft. Saturday was mostly overcast with the odd sunny interval but Sunday was almost perfect weather so i'll concentrate on those shots. There's enough time for dull, overcast stuff over the next few months.

Old-School Volvo. This drivers bodywork repair bill must be huge, he was off the track more than he was on it over the weekend..

Is there a panel-beater in the house?...NO?...Ok a size 10 boot will do the trick then !

Another Volvo, another visit to the bodyshop..

Over to the pit lane before the start of the SuperPrix. John McCluskey in his Citroen Xsara WRC.

It's a bit noisy this RallyCross game.

Pit lane was a busy place and not just because of the cars...

The 2006 SuperPrix Champion. Kenneth Hansen in his Citroen C4 WRC.

Really liking #1 Geoff - great capture. He was a bit mad that driver right enough.

Saw you as I was leaving. Sorry I had no time to chat - I had to get some pictures sorted prior to going out on the beer down to Yarm, so was running on quite a tight timeline!

Cheers,

Simon.

PS He's a handsome chap that 'tog in the first picture on your website ;)

Cheers chaps :)

Kev, yes it was heaving. Biggest crowd i've seen outside of a BTCC or Superbike weekend. The only downside is that all the usual shooting spots were permanently occupied which is why i ended up standing on top of an old fridge near the commentator's bus :D

I haven't got round to sorting out my shots from your MK2 yet...

Simon, i saw you heading for the car at pace and guessed you were in a rush. I don't blame you getting out of there fast as it took me half an hour to escape.
To be brutally frank they need to get some decent Stewards as the current lot are clueless. There's 2 gates out of Sheep sh** alley and they were directing all the traffic out of 1 instead of doing the 2 lane exit as per BTCC etc. 1 mouthy Scottish woman "directing" and 2 blokes resembling Weebles and chomping on sweets do not count as Traffic Management IMHO

I've got out of Brands Hatch on BTCC race day faster, which says a lot...

And relaxxxxx :)

Thanks for t' comments....Oh Simon. Any idea who that Indiana Jones lookalike is? :D

Some great shots Geoff. Sorry I could not stay longer but had to go to London.

I have some shots as well. One thing I am noticing, when viewing shots on the camera LCD they seem fine but on the PC they seem dark so a bit confused as to whats happening

Nice shots Geoff, McCluskey certainly has a big grin on his face for some reason, obviously not after they refused to rerun his heat, maybe he didn't throw enough toys out of his pram

Ahh so that was you was it, the marshalls were keep asking for security to come and move the people from there for some reason.

Cheers
Ian

Thanks Peter. I hope the trip was enjoyable :)

Fire one of your "dark" shots over to me if you like. I'll take a look :)

There were a few muppets sitting on the fence dangling their legs into the pit lane and some complete numpties sitting on top of the portacabin with the big "Danger, Flammable Liquids" sign on it

Then there were the clowns wandering around the pit lane without a pass and smoking.....I just stayed behind the fence on "my" fridge and they didn't say a word to me :)

Thanks for the comments :)
