got the OK from SWMBO... so I took my check from smugmug this month and made a little buy at b&h and adorama... I'm also gonna get a Jacobs black box for a battery pack. Should make a nice little flash setup for event shooting, portraits, and macro! It all should arrive tuesday... i'm psyched!

congrats you're gonna love the 580, you'll have to let me know how you like that delta bracket, I was gonna get one but they were out of stock when i placed my order.

they have them at adorama for 50 shipped....

I'm really psyched about this flash... I think the extra toys i'm getting are worth the extra 350 bucks. Without them its like buying a BMW M3 with 14" steel wheels and a 2 gallon gas tank

when i was ordering all of my stuff the only place i was ordering from that had those brackets was B&H, I didn't want to place an order from another place just for a bracket, so i ended up getting the custom brackets digital t.

yeh... I was lookin at those but its a big just from $50 to over $200. I got the bracket for macro and i'm gonna try out the lighsphere as a replacement for the custom pro. I like to keep somewhat low key anyways. You can't always get away with a 35mm f/2 or 50mm f/1.8 lens alone :)
