jw how these tripods are? They look to be high quality but for the price who knows. Anyone own these?

I do. It's an excellent, heavy duty tripod. I have absolutely no complaints.

I don't LOVE my Dynatran. Unlike Steve, I save my love for things I can...oh wait this is a family forum. :)

I do LIKE my Dynatran. I didn't pay much for it though either. ;)

Good, high-quality tri and mono at reasonable prices if you have patience with the bidding.

Yes, bid for it in the middle of the night. Those auctions that end at 2 am are a good source of bargains.

I love my DynaTran... in a purely platonic way of course! ;)

Took me about 4 tries bidding on one to get it... but it was worth it!

Is yours carbon fiber though? Mine's one of the heavier non-CF with a pistol grip head:

I got the 994 with Magnesium ballhead and it does a fine job when I need it. Perfect bargain and, as has been mentioned, don't bid too high as there are plenty more coming along. My review is here (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=164099)

That's a great review of Condyk's - I'd certainly be interested if I hadn't already been tripodded and monopodded

Perhaps when I'm looking for a carbon fiber upgrade....
