Yesterday evening I did the upgrade from 1.5 ---> 2.0. Most of the things worked spontanously well and the EE 2.0 is now running in a folder under my websites root directory ("www.jot-gallery.com/EE2/"). So far, so good. B U T when I tried this morning my websites url ("www.jot-gallery.com") it was kind of re-directed to somewhat like a search engine or something similiar! Does anybody know this effect? What do I have to do now? It looks like my websites adress is kidnapped by I-don't-know-who!? Can anybody help me with this?! :cry: :cry: :cry:
Kind and confused regards,
J.

I see your site just fine. This might mean you got a virus on your pc.

I also get re-directed to a search page, no virus or spyware here...
edit:If I go directly to the EE2 directory, its fine, only when I go to the base url.

Hmm just tried again. The first time I tried the root I got a permission denied message. But Now I also get redirected to the search engine.
Whats interesting is that something is translating the url and adding an extra .com to the url which then results in the search engine.
You tried www.jot-gallery.com.com which doesn't exist.

the redirect code that was put in the root is incorrect...
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="0; URL=http://www.jot-gallery.com.com/EE2">
</head>
</html>
there should only be one ".com"... looks like someone made a typoe ;)

@wkitty42, YES, that was it: the misspelling "com.com" was the reason for this strange phenomen. Thank you very much for your good help! :)
Best,
Josef
