An y comments or suggestions on this one. How could i improve. It always seems like something is missing.And it's not just the color!

The problem is that it's flatly lit. If you had a light direction and a good ratio you wouldn't have so many grey tones and would have some spectral highlights. It's not too bad on the baby. But, there are no spectral highlights on the mom at all.
