Might sound like a funny question, but do these IS lens extend the same way as the non IS lens when zoomed?

if someone has one of this lens, could you email a photo of the lens in the zoomed "in" and zoomed "out" postion to me.

ill ask for it by email, so once i get the photos, i'll delete the post

thanks

In what way? What is it exactly you want to know?

At 28mm, the length of the 28-135 IS USM is about 9.5 cm (3.7 inches) long. At 135mm, it's 12.5 cm (4.9 inches) long. Nothing special because of IS.

so this lens doesn't extend very much between min and max vocal lengh, only a few CM basically.

i have a 55-200 and that extends quite a bit. neverless if someone could please send a photo that would be great, thanks
