Close up of one of my Blue and Golds, here is the interesting thing, she is in her cage and I am shooting out side the bars....Where did they go? I promise this is not a PS gag or anything like that, just curious why the bars of the cage disappeard.......hummmmmm!

The bars are too close to be anywhere near focused, so they are "invisible." But the probably do have an effect - try the same shot with not bars in the way and the pic will probably be clearer.

This is a good trick in zoos and such - push the camera right up to the bars/fence and they're barely discernible, if at all. I got some nice pics at a local wolf conservation place with a double chainlink fence about 3' apart. With a telephoto shot neither fence could be seen. But in many shots - if the wolf was too close - the second fence was visible to some extent.
