Did you have the flash on the hot-shoe? Was the camera hand-held? How did you focus? I take it this was with the 17-70? I like it :)

Wow! A great photo, and an excellent choice of color I think. Are those small letters I see in the lower left corner?

I think that this photo is really good, especially considering this is your first shot at it. I do think that the photo would benefit from a slightly wider crop however (the top of the spash is cutoff here). Also, I am curious about your choice to use such a fast shutter speed; assuming that the flash is your main source of lighting, it should freeze the droplet just fine when shooting at the flash sync speed.

... Are those small letters I see in the lower left corner? ...
Looks like writing on the bottom of whatever clear container was used to contain the water.

thanks guys. first of, yeah flash was on the hot shoe , camera on my tripod with cable release. i first focused where i knew Id be taking the shot then switched to manual.
lol, i didnt even see these small letters. must be from the container. about the crop, yeah i could have done with it being wider, the tip of the splash never made the frame unfortunetly. i dont know why i used such a fast shutter. maybe i could have lowered it. i will try next time.
cheers for the comments guys, always welcome
