Sorry if I sound enthusiastic, but it made my day :D Maybe everybody already know about it, but I just discovered it and it made me really happy...... :D :D

1) With the camera connected as if you were downloading images, open Zoombrowser.

2) Navigate with Zoombrowser to the folder where the image you want to upload is stored

3) Click on the image or images you want to upload

4) Click on the Camera and Memory Card Button

5) An Upload images button appears

6) A camera window opens, followed by an "Add image" window

7) Select "Add image as is" option and click on the Add button

8 ) A "save file" window appears and your image is transferred back to the camera

Now if you check your CF card, your image is back there!

PLEASE NOTE: the images as far as I know must retain the original camera file name and an intact exif. Haven't yet tried with cropped and/or renamed files.

It won't work with video, because it's not a JPG image.

I even did it with scanned jpegs, without any exif info. No problem....

Peter, I tried with a scanned image but Zoombowser won't let me do it, it does the actual uploading, but then the image won't show up anywhere on the camera. Do you do it through a CF card reader/writer or software ?

What you need to do is give the picture a number that fits in the same structure as the standard Canon numbers. If that won't work a card-reader will always do the job.

I tried, but it just won't take it...... the card reader will then be the solution.
Anyway, I was glad to see that zoombrowser would at least do the job for very basic needs. Thanks.

Did you try to choose the other choice than "add image as is" and to make it the size that ZB suggests?

Hi,
I have uploaded edited pictures to my Canon IXUS 300 using ZoomBrowser. When it came to the vertical images though, they ended up with thick black borders to the right. I had a couple printed out in a photo lab, and the borders were still there. The lab guy said they had become part of the JPEG. He had no clue why and was going to call Canon to ask.

Since then I got a CD burner and now use the CD when I go to the lab instead, so no more problems with strange borders. Still, I'm not sure if it's just my camera/PhotoBrowser that this happens to, or if it's everyone's....
