Can anyone give me a good technique to remove the "fire exit" sign from this image? The complication is that the veil is in front of part of the sign. I can remove the rest of it ok, but there's the green behind the veil I can't get rid of. I'd usually use saturation controls but i'm not having any luck. Any suggestions appreciated! :)

How "urgent" is this Tim? I don't have time this minute, but wouldn't mind looking later. (although I wouldn't mind betting someone will get it done in the next five minutes! :-))

I'll be sending the prints to my lab in about 12-24 hours, but i'm not too bothered if I can't get rid of the sign. I'm really after an idea for a technique since i'll have to do it myself on the full size image.

took about 5 mins on this version and not the neatest, but i just used the clone stamp at a fairly large size for the wood. then for the veil, just a small clone stamp and cloned from other parts of the veil that was covering the wood section:

thanks! ( i'm no artist - beleive me! :D )
with more time, you'd be able to take out the left over green bits without too much fuss i reckon.

I wouldn't even try. But don't you just hate how those things crop (no pun intended) up in the shots and you didn't even notice them at the time?
Every time I see a great landscape shot, I always wonder how they got it without power lines that always seem to be in mine, etc.

Thats the route I was going to take, but it looks like you've done a pretty good job to me!

I replaced color behind the veil and cloned out the sign.

In PS go to image...adjustments...replace color...use eyedropper to select the green...slide the saturation bar till you achieve the desired effect.
I use that quite often!
