I am in the process of buying the things I want for a Canon S3 IS. I have purchased a LensMatic 58mm adapter to connect these adapters
On other web sites they talk about the Sony VCL- DH 1758 (plastic housing), and the VCL-HGD 1758 ( older, aluminum housing).
I "think" the two Teles have the same lenses but am not sure at all.
The Canon TC-DC58 B is what some of people use because it's canon, without any other considerations. I have heard it is a "real bear" to work with.
There was a tremendious article written by a professional photographer called "Katz" I think. He extolled on the virtues of the Sony VCL-DH 1758 on a sony camera called the Sony R1, I think.
On the other hand a very few individuals using the Canon S3/Sony VCL-DH 1758 say it is awesome and gives them the maximum magnification without problems.
I'm confused, I am definately a newbe, but see no reason to make mistakes when there's a few real experts willing to help!
Doe's anyone have expertise in the field/are I am talking about? If so, what/why do you recommend? If ther is a tele that you have personal experience with don't hesitate to suggest!
In fact, all suggestions from experiencd indiviuals are very welcome.
Sincerely, Lola.
PS. I can't help making a science out of everything I do, it's just part of the way I am.
