photojournalists I need help

Hi all I am fairly new here and would appreciate some advice. I would like to submit some images to some of our local papers. What sizes should I e-mail. I think the DPI should be 200 but I have no idea what size image to send. Any help would be great.

Tom,

Your best bet is to email the local papers in question and ask. I know some papers don't actually want people submitting work because they have their own photogs to do that for them.

Others welcome submissions from readers but usually have quite stringent submissions rules. This might include the ownership issues, sizes, etc.

Talk to them first, basically.

Thanks Ian it turns out that the local papers want 200 dpi and 10 inches at the longest.
