Hey Bullitt, these are much nicer then the first go round. Keep up the good work, and experiment with more DOF etc and see what accomplishes the results you want..

Thanks. I am sure there are many ways to change the depth of field. But what are some methods to try. Would the macro setting do anything? I want better focus, I tried manual and auto focus, but I forgot to try focus bracketing. That may help.

DoF isn't a problem with the moon. But basic exposure follows the "sunny 16" rule; 1/ISO at f/16 for your basic exposure. The bright part of the moon's getting the same light as you see on Earth at mid-day on a sunny day.

The S3 can only go to F/8.

"Transposing exposures is left as an exercise for the reader" You wanna try to develop a "sunny f/8" rule that makes any kind of sense?

Jon - I didn't know if you knew the S3 went only to f/8. I wasn't trying to start some sort of debate.
