New user administration

So far my upgrade to EE2.0 went well. Now I try to setup an additional user, but at the moment I don't get along with the following:


New user is added.
User account is made 'active".
Login name and pw is given.
Permission is given to at least one exhibition.
User data are saved.


When I login to the user account there is nothing (no photos, no exhition) visible. What did I miss to do? Thanks for any idea.

I think you have to go the the Structure part of your Admin section and say what galleries the new user can view

For example - my "special" user can see all of the normal public galleries, plus a few private galleries as well

mike's got it right... if you want the user to see anything on the "master index page", then you need to have it selecteded in the structure editor... the structure editor displays the site structure as it will be presented to each user... so make sure that you select each user and check the structure...

thank you both for your hints. I tried and tried, until I detected that I had missed to do the 2.01-update! :oops: After having done this, it seems to work, but frankly spoken I do not find it quite intuitive. May be I have to experience this functionality intensively to get more familiar with it :D Thanks again.

You are absolutely right! But still I am totally impressed by the fact what a man like Pekka can do by sharing his software with us. It is really great and I am very happy with it. :D
