Search ALL fields from Index?

I see the search box on the Index page but it only searches photo names. Is there any way to get it to search ALL fields, similar to the searches found in Exhibition pages?

shaun3000, this is a good idea. Category names and Metadata are not searched. I would be happy just searching categories with a pull down menu, and I am working on it.

My biggest problem is finding the code to be changed. I am also a novice in PHP and MySQL, so if anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. Pekka has done a tremendous job with EE2.01. It was well worth the wait!

it isn't done, yet, either... pekka has stated several times that this is an "early release" version... i wouldn't get too rambunctious editing php code to add missing features as it could very well be lost when the next update (v2.02 is due out soon) is released... pekka might be responsize to code fixes and updates but you'd have to ask him about that... i've stuff that i've done in the resize area and have offered but haven't heard anything back in weeks...

Thanks. I came up with a simple fix that does not require any original code. I commented out the simple search from the index page (via template), and replaced it with a hyperlink to list.php. At the top of this page there is a category search, and that is all I need.
