Latest Photos

I have looked, but can not find any way to remove the "latest photos" on the left side of the index page? Does any one know how to turn them off or change the number of them displayed?

I changed things on my site also. Right now 3 random thumbs, with underneath 10 latest as micro thumbs.
In the future this will be 3 highest rated, with 10 latest. my site (http://www.landmarks.nl)

yeah... but whatis one just want to turn it off completely? I would like to.

I can see how you can set the amount of displayed images to 0 (zero) but how do I do away with that whole "field". I would ather use that space on the screen for the galleries on the index page... just like in the old version of EE.
