:-) While it's definitely not great art, I thought this was an interesting image. It is from the Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan on the outskirts of Moscow, which was built in the 1660s.

These old buildings can be really quaint with their squinty angles and so on, but perhaps this is an injustice to the builders as a bit of settling over 400 years is not something that they would have been able to cater for. Were you on holiday, or do you stay there?

Hi Jeff
Had a look at all your most interesting shots. Some good stuff.
This is the beauty of the web .. we can see the world through other peoples' eyes and places that we didn't even know existed.
Great to share.
Thanks.

Absolutely--that was really the point. It's tough enough getting through one Russian winter, but 400 or so is a bit over the top. :-) Apparently, they really let things go during the 19th century, but began renovating in the 20th.
I was visiting the in-laws when I took these.
thanks!
