Hi all some help if you please. I have taking pics for 18 years. Recently I have taken some photojurnalism courses. I am starting to freelance shooting various events mainly people. I am getting asked how much I charge to shoot family functions. Some people only want images on disk and others want prints and some both which I can accommodate both.

What is a reasonable hourly rate to shoot events?
How much would you charge for for a disk of images?
How much would you charge for a colour 8x10?
If some one wants to buy an image from an event I have decided to freelance at what is fair?

Thanks in advance for help.
Take good care

That's difficult. It all depends on the intended use of the images. Personaly I use the reccomended prices of the dutch photographers federation as a guide. If you can read dutch or if you have somebody who can translate it for you, you can download it as pdf here: http://www.fotografenfederatie.nl/cms/db.php3?id=349
