Hi All,

I'm new to this site, and new to digital photography. I ordered a Canon SD700IS and a XTI last week. Just had a chance to play around with the XTI today, so far I'm impressed, I'm impressed Big Time... Don't laugh but the last SLR I bought was a Nikon F1:oops: which I still have and hold dear to my heart. Looks like a great bunch of folks on this forum, I'm sure I'll have quite a few questions in the near future.

Congratulations and welcome to the forums. :) You'll have a great time with the camera and also at these forums...there's a wealth of information around here and plenty of pleasant folks.

Nothing to laugh about...your old camera may be a blast from the past, but back in its heydays I'm very sure it was one of the top performers. Old cameras always have that nice vintage feel to them as well. It's something we don't get on new cameras anymore.

All has been said above, so I'll stress it again:
1) Welcome to the forums
2) Congratulations on your new purchase
3) Be warned that this hobby will likely drain you financially (very quickly too! )

Enjoy!
