Um...I've made a little bit of a cock up while *trying* to clean some dust from inside the camera and I think it best if I got it cleaned properly. :o
Has anyone in the UK who has had their camera cleaned properly have a ball park on how much it would cost? Did you have to go back to Canon or did you just choose someone local? Any recommendations?
Ta in advance.

Free for me... took it to the Canon service centre in North West London...
But I suppose it was free because it needed repair anyway and they were fixing something else :)
So my advice is to break your camera, send it away for repair and get a free clean :)

Um...No. That's tantamount to selling my own children!!!* :D
* Thankfully I haven't found any woman stupid enough to procreate with me.

Used Johnston's in Glasgow. They are Canon approved.

Ooooh. If I didnt know any better I would have thought this was my thread. Last week my mirror got dirty, I tried to clean it and got dust stuck to the sensor.
I took mine to Fixation in Vauxhall, London. Cost £25+VAT (so about £30) on my 30D, and they did it while I waited. Did a darn good job too!
If you're thinking of going there, make sure you use the map and address, as they're hidden away a bit.
PS, as you've got a full frame sensor, I think it's £50 +VAT (so about £60). Dont quote me on that though! :)

HOLE COW! £60! May that be an expensive lesson to me. My sesnor isn't too bad actually, its just the mirror and focus screen.

Yes, I admit it. Trying to clean it without the proper tools or experience is a muppet thing to do.
They do sell all sorts of cleaning products down there too, so you could get some proper stuff and do it yourself otherwise. They do leaflets on cleaning sensors etc. Might be worth taking that route, but the proper cleaning gear isnt cheap either!
