A80 and raw

Hi all!

I noticed that the user manual [p. 41 in the pdf-file available at www.powershot.com] says that an icon for raw format files may appear in the display. Does this mean that raw file format support may be planned with a future firmware upgrade? Or does this just mean that if one inserts a CF card with raw files from another Canon, they will show up.

Raw format support would be great...

I'm sure it's there in case you have RAW images from another Canon digicam on your CF card. If the camera does not have a RAW format when it's purchased, Canon is not going to add it as a firmware update (at least they never have with any other camera).
