Yep. It's a good book. I like Scott Kelby ever since I subscribed to PhotoShop TV. The book is a real 'cut to the chase' kind of book.

My copy arrived today based on the reading the recommendation 2 days ago. I agree that this is a great book, cheap, well written, and full of good ideas.

Freff- You're going to really enjoy Understanding Exposure.

If its the same book I flicked through at the weekend then I would definately recommend it to newbies to DSLR (me inc of course).

It's a book that doesn't go into huge depth about the variouss topics it covers, but it doesn't aim to be that kind of book. Instead you get many fast tips and examples.

RichNY...you're right, started reading it last night in bed. Couldn't put it down until the "accidental" dig in the ribs from the beloved at 3.45am put an end to it. Looking forward to a few more chapters over the weekend.:) :)
