Upload Video Files

I want to create a gallery for short video clips. I have sucessfully uploaded them but cannot import them into EE.

P.S. The search function in the EE forum seem to be borked.

Upload with small JPEG's which act as video thumbnail, then use the photo editor to:
- change proper viewerstyle for video's size path.
- upload video file to that size path (use resize method: NONE).

Something worth knowing: When you change viewerstyle to something that changes extension to e.g. ".avi", EE will use JPEG from same path for rethumbnailing. So you can add/change a thumb to a video by changing viewerstyle to default, upload thumb JPG, (change viewerstyle back to video) and rethumbnail that photo.


Only Imagemagick is capable of thumbnailing video files and that also with great possibility of problems, so this is why I have not enabled actual video file batch upload.

Ok, I have done as instructed but it is still not working.

Not sure what to do now.

1. Make sure you select size path "NONE" when uploading a video in photo editor.
2. Try taking the ftp obfuscation off from that viewerstyle in viewerstyle editor.
