I am looking for a backpack style bag that will comfortably (and more important safely) accomodate 2 10D slr bodies, a couple (2 or 3) lenses and a 12 inch apple powerbook. I have been searching the internet and have come up short so far.
I currently have one of the newish (black and green) canon backpacks and one of the old style (all green with leather tabs) backpacks and neither of them are suitable for the purpose.

Maybe you can find one at Tamrac (http://www.tamrac.com/). They are good and cheap.
I cycled with a Tamrac 'Adventure 8' for 2 months through the Australian Outback filled with an EOS 5, 3 lenses, solar hoods and some other stuff. For your purposes you probably need a larger bag.

EDIT:
I had a quick look at Tamrac. Try this page http://www.tamrac.com/g_photoandcomputer.htm

I have the Expedition 4 from Tamrac and love it. It is not big enough for two bodies, but Tamrac does make larger backpacks for multiple bodies. I don't think you could go wrong with a Tamrac.

The Expedition 4 is a good backpack but it won't carry a laptop. However, the Tamrac 5259 or the Lowepro CompuTrekker might be good choices.

I have been seriously looking at the Lowepro Omni Trekker Extreme which is sized to fit in a 1550 Pelican case as well as has hideaway/removable packsack straps.

I purchased the Tamrac 759 Photo/Computer backpack, and love it. It is well made, has adequate space for two bodies and a half dozen lenses, pockets for flash cards, filters, etc, and they have add-on (M.A.S. system) bags, pouches, and stuff that hold more stuff. With my 10D, 70-200, 28-105, 550EX, 1.4 TC, and my S40 P&S, it is reasonably comfortable. When I add my laptop in the laptop pouch against the back, it gets a little heavy for long hikes, and less comfortable due to flat hard pc against your back. All in all, I think it fits my needs.
YMMV

I have the Tmarac Expedition 4 but found it a little dmall. I moved up to the 597 and 697. Both have room for a laptop, the 697 has wheels, which are great for airports.

Lowe has a new mini trekker computer bag. I have the regular trekker and would definitely look into this new one if I needed it.
