I totally agree with Blue Deuce, this bird is very elusive as it took me several trips to the Viera Wetlands over a period of two months to see and capture this magnificent feathered friend. Thanks for viewing.

I just got excited when I saw you bagged one. Really nice job on not blowing out the whiteish throat feathers and nice colors on this adult. You also got lucky not getting one that has multiple tagging bands.
Was this today ? I thought about making the drive but the weather kept me home.
Welcome to the club.

Thanks Keith, BD, & Wayne for the looks and comments.
BD:I took this last Sunday but the encounter was very brief as I was only able to fire four shots including a butt shot in-flight.

What lenses did you use for this and the eagle shots? Fantastic! And how close did you get?

Thanks Zip, Todd, Tony, Karen, Turnerzdad, sharpy, & Fee for the looks and comments.
Karen: On this one and the Bald Eagle in-flight, I used 100-400 @ 400 handheld
The perched Bald Eagle, it's the EF 500 handheld
I wasn't close on the Eagle at all, I'd say >100 yards
The Caracara, I got lucky I to within 100-125 feet.

Excellent, crisp shot! A bit hot on the back of the head...but the overall greatness of the shot overshadows this. Very good.
