Hi all,
I pulled an old photo out that was really horrible, but I cropped and photoshopped, and would like your opinions!
Thanks!

Without seeing the oringinal, it's difficult to say anything about the restoral. I like the color and tone of it, but not that she's facing directly into the edge of the image. White balance looks good.

This is the original photo. I tried to crop it so that she was on the other side, but the crop ended up being a weird size. Any suggestions?

You could always clone the curtain from behind her to in front of her.

You improved it, but i'm not sure it's a keeper.

imo, the right had side of the image is left too blank. A person looking down to the left as she is should have space left open to give the appearance of space for that something to be. In other words, her back would be better placed on the right hand side of the image.
It was a fairly easy clone job even with the small size. It took all of maybe 3 to 4 minutes. I didn't bother with anything else.

I croped it from ssim version. I Dont know, I spent 30 seconds messing with it. I liked the origional action/coloring that was done to it. The origional crop was deffinantly was not giving her breathing space.

I'm not as good in photoshop as I would like to be but working hard on it. I like to try these things and see how they come out. It is the best way to learn.
I first adjusted the image to the levels and colors that I wanted.
I created a selection of some of the curtains and feathered that selection by 20 pixels. Copied that several times to the image and just kept placing them where they looked ok to cover up the male in the image. When i came time to work around the womens breast, I did another selection as shown below and deleted it.
The key for me was to make sure that the feathering of the original selection did not show the selection lines. Sometimes you just have to try different levels of feathering to find the right amount.
I merged the layers and was done.
