first, shouldn't the power tools allow for access to most all the data that can be set by the default photo data? one never knows when one will need to alter more than one pic...

i've used the power tools a couple of times... first thing is that nothing says that you have to select the photos to work on... i originally thought that because they were in the list, they fit the filter criteria and i did want to modify the data on all of them... additional attempts used the tagging method to choose the pics to apply the changes to...

also, i tried several times and each time, and each time, the report at the bottom of the screen said that no rows were affected... even though it did list all the sql commands that were used... looking at the photos in question, the selected data didn't appear to be altered... actually, the category may have been but the setting to hide the photo detail wasn't...

i tried each together and seperately and each time the powertools report told me that no rows were affected and at least once, it told me the query failed...

AFFECTED DATABASE ROWS display is not always correct.
The statements do work. Simplify your testing a bit:

select nothing on STEP 1 : select filtering
change data in STEP 2 : replace data with
select some photos.

(STEP 2 text is also STEP 1 in beta 5, corrected).

The filtering must be exact hit - also with the combination of filters.
