Here's my friend / colleague who kindly posed for me for a couple of shoots - this is one of the shots I was really happy with. Taken with 24-105 with fill from MZ-3 (bare flash straight on - you need all the power you can get to match the light from the sun!)
No pp other than slight levels.

Nice. I'd clone out black object on the background (bench?) in photoshop. Looks a bit distracting.

That's a really nice shot of a pretty lady. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks - yes, I did mean to do that, but forgot to, here's a version without the (correctly guessed) bench.

Thanks Ron - I thought it would be a nice day to try and hone my fill flash technique, plus she was wearing such bright colours they worked really well.

I would have liked seeing this image right after dawn or right before dusk at the "sweet light" times of day. But since you were stuck with this time ... here is my version.

Thanks - I like the richer skin tones in yours (though I think mine are a more faithful reproduction, which is why I left them as they are).

I did, but I quite liked it as it was :) Great job on it though!

Hey Craig, the rescue of the blown out hair has been done SUPERBLY! Any hints of your technique?

Not speaking on Craig's behalf, but I would assume some judicious cloning.

I made a dupe of the image (not a dupe layer) and flipped it horizontally. I then used the lasso tool to select the good hair. I used drag and drop and put it in position. To make sure it was aligned well I turned down the opacity till I could see the hair underneath. I moved it a bit till it was exactlyn right and then turned the opacity back to 100%. Now I added a layer mask in Reveal All and used a black brush at about 65% to paint away where I didn't want it. Flatten and done ! I use the technique quite a bit with studio images.
