I forgot to post my settings,

#1 Obviously Edited to get that color
Focal length: 28.0mm (35mm equivalent: 196mm)
Exposure time: 0.020 s (1/50)
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO equiv.: 1600
Metering Mode: matrix
Exposure: shutter priority (semi-auto)

#2 Just a little WB correction, sharpening, and crop.
Focal length: 28.0mm (35mm equivalent: 241mm)
Exposure time: 0.020 s (1/50)
Aperture: f/7.1
ISO equiv.: 1600
Metering Mode: matrix
Exposure: shutter priority (semi-auto)

Any input, suggestions, harsh or gentle CC would be genuinely appreciated.

Very nice, I like how the well-placed people ground the pics. Did you take these in Houston?

I like the first shot.

How are you making your calculations on the 35mm equivalents? What camera are you using where 28mm equals both 196mm and 241mm? How far away were you that you got picture number 1 so wide, with barrel distortion, and it equates to 196mm? I'm confused. All this math...

I don't know why that info turned out that way, I was a little perturbed and was hoping someone could tell me, it's the same lens. That's just what I copied from what photobucket pulled from the photo's exif.

In #1 I was probably about 50+ feet out, in #2 I was around 25, and I did crop the second, plus the wall really does curve a bit, I'll get a pic to show you in a few minutes. :)

Yes, this is Houston, it's the John P. McGovern Texas Medical Center Commons.

Here’s the pics I promised. Nothing special but I hope that they display the curve.

From that night, this is the north side.

From a few months ago, this is the west side.
