I'm bummed... :( after over 6000 pics in 8 months, I finally broke down and sent my 10D back to Canon today for recalibration against my 24-70L and 70-200L IS lens. I've been taking some great shots, but I have notice the back focusing phenonenom that some people have indicated they experienced also (mine is one of those first sn: 4 series units). I was going to perform the focus test on it, but I haven't had the time to do it. It's a good time to send it back since it is still under warranty and I have about a 4 to 6 weeks of down time before the Lacrosse and spring soccer seasons starts. I hope they calibrate it to my satisfaction. I really love this camera and will love it even more if it comes back taking sharper pics than before.
Do a good job with my baby Mr. Canon Service Center.

Are you saying like s/n 042xxxxxxx are at risk for this?

The rumor mill has stated that the lower SN models showed this problem more than the newer ones... but that was never confirmed.

Remember folks that if you do not have focusing issues, they will not mysteriously show up at a later date, unless you find a lens that's totally mis-matched to your camera. And then, I'd swap the lens.
