Hehe, nice shot!
Really well done.
The only thing I could suggest is to crop the photo around the bird in focus to make another brilliant photo.

Thanks, Kelsey-Lee!
I know what you mean. I have others with just the in-focus bird. I just thought it looked like the fellow in the background was laughing, which is why I didn't crop it.
Here are a couple of the others for you:

The crops are great. I've never seen a tie-dyed parrot before. :D

Great shots Nick, these have been a bit scarce in my yard lately. I often shoot out of my bedroom window at these guys in a bottlebrush tree.

Thanks, Greg.
These were from Lone Pine. I've only just got around to processing them.
We're not lucky enough to have the trees at our place to encourage these fellas to visit.

Tie-dyed parrot   . Are these rainbow lorrikeets? They're gorgeous. I've seen them in zoos etc but I don't think they come this far down in the wild. We get musk lorrikeeets here.
Great pictures! I probably would have like to see both birds in focus, but I understand birds aren't easy to photograph.

Spot on Elise.

Not so spot on. They're all over the place here. I live and work in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, and there are heaps flying about.

Dale, I used to live out in the Dandenongs as a kid up til I moved out at 17. I know we used to have parrots out there and I remember Crimson Rosellas. I might have had Rainbow Lorrikeets too but just never knew what they were!

Thanks for dropping by, Elise and Dale.
Yeah, I thought the rainbow lorikeets could be found along the entire east coast of Australia, but I could be wrong.

Elise: I grew up in the Dandenongs as well (Mt Evelyn - in fact my folks still live there). The Crimsons seem to stick to the hills, and the Rainbows flock around the flatter suburbs. At least that's my observations.
