S400 Cases

Any recommendations on S400 Cases? I was looking into the accessory pack with the hip bag, batter and leather case...I also read about the soap box method but I don't know about the style points on that one.

Have a look at the Lowepro set of bags. Plenty to choose from there and probably available worldwide. It makes sense to me with such a small camera to keep it in a small pouch. Something from the Digital Resolution series perhaps.

the Canon SC-PS300 case is the one i've got. I think its meant for the original Ixus cameras so the 400 is a bit of a squeeze but its all nice and cosy with an extra pocket for batteries and cards. £15 from my local cam shop.

I use a Tamrac 5691. The next-smaller one (I think 5690 but I'm not sure) is a little better fit, but they both offer good padding, room for a couple of spare CF cards, and a top flap that covers the opening and helps keep the S-400 dry.

It holds Camera, 1 memory card & one spare battery (just) and is still compact. Includes carry strap and belt loop.

I have a Canon case for the S400. It works great. It costs about 23 USD here in Japan.

The smallest one i could find,. it fit perfectly and has belt loops was the Tamrac 5688.

It has a second little pocket that will fit a CF or even a 2nd battery.. (but then the velcro top wont stay shut.... :(

Anyway,. I really like it as it doesn't make the S400 any larger in the pocket. :)

The Tamrac is the best one that I have seen. Is it not sold in the US?

I got a leather Canon case from Dell for around $12. This one not as good as my old one for S110 but it is very compact. The S110 case was with extra pocket for extra CF cards. But the price for new one from Dell was very good. Hope it helps :wink:

Couldn't find the Tamrac so I bought the Elph accessory pack which had the extra batter, the leather case and the hip pack 69 Dollars US.
