Like many 10D users, when I purchased the camara the Photoshop Elements software came included. I am please with it. But as I am doing more and more photography I am wondering if I should not upgrade to Photoshop CS. Someone posted a link where we can upgrade for a few hundreds less than the going price.
One reason I am thinking of upgrading by the way is that I just started shooting a lot in RAW and for right now I am using Canon software.
Any comments or recommendations ?

I would not get very comfortable with Elements.
Sometimes it is difficult to unlearn a program.
Photoshop is the gold standard. If you have a 10D
go for the best program to process your pictures.
Photoshop CS with few filters is the ultimate answer.
Go get Photoshop soon and unlearn Elements

I have played with elements and it is a fine program but wanting to go to raw is pushing me to CS. I too dont want to spend the time to learn elements to its potential to later want PS CS anyways so gonna order it the first of the week.

I've absolutely fallen in love with PS. It's now a sickness. And I HIGHLY recommend not only PS but the Total PS CS training from Total Training
http://www.totaltraining.com It's a visual (DVD Video) training program. Costs about 300.00 and is a real bargain in my book. Take advantage of the special price deal. I did! Then take the 300.00 you saved and buy the training!

Learning PSE2 is not a waste of time if you plan to go on to CS. The techniques/commands in PSE2 are easily incorporated in CS. I have been using PSE then PSE2 for over a year and I am now learning PS CS. Had I not used PSE2 it would have been much harder to learn CS. It's like chemistry 101 before you go to organic or p chem.

the correct place to ask this would be in the 'Post processing and printing' forum
