2.0 Upgrade problem: blank user editor display

I just upgraded from 1.5 to 2.0. The upgrade script had no errors. However in trying to finish the installation when I get to the step below


2. On the left menu click item: "User editor"

I get a blank screen with no user information. This also happens when I try to access structure>groups. I'm doing the upgrade on solaris 2.8 and I've also done the 2.01 update. I'm not seeing any errors in the apache or mysql logs. I know I've uploaded the php files in ascii mode.

What should I try next?

This problem was resolved by upgrading php from 4.3.4 to 4.4.4 and changing some of the compile options. I also restored the database and reran the upgrade for the 3rd or 4th time so some combination of the above resolved my problem. This is on the Sun/Solaris 2.8 platform.
