Well I went to my daughter’s soccer game today and found out that one of the dads is the head of the photography department for the paper here. He was shooting a N*** with a 2.8 400mm. We got to talking about lenses and cameras and he offered me the key to the "pool room". He told me they have both Canon and Nikon mounts in any shape size or weight I want. He said I could try any of them any time I want, just have to call.
So soon as I wiped the frozen spittle off my chin I asked for a 400 2.8 to play with? Without a blink he said why I don’t bring a 3, 4 and 70-200 2.8's so you can swap around. I told him if he did that then I would have to go out and get me one of them thar mono foots to lug around 10 pounds of glass.
Sad thing is I have to wait until next Saturday for my daughter’s next game. I will fill you in.

Any day you have to wipe frozen spittle off your chin is certainly not a lucky one, at least to a Californian.

Oh really? Hmmmmm....Need a new friend? ;) You ought to pop down this way to see the Sprint Boats in Woodland. They are a kick!!! My wife and I shoot them and I'll probably drag along FramerPDX (who I met here) to shoot them too.
Anyway, that's awesome you get to play with those lenses! That is way too cool!!

What! You found someone else to take instead of me? Drats! I knew I should have remembered that Christmas card.
Actually, what you ought to do Jim is put together one of those photo excursions like they have up the Columbia Gorge. You could make enough to pay for that camera upgrade that you are going to be doing right after the new Canon comes out. :P

Oh I am sure I can make 1 or 2 of those, My family lives in PDX and Eugene, so we are always up and down 5. I will have to get a trailer for those lenses though.
