Hi!

does anybody of you know if a nomad (creative) jukebox (1. version, 6GB) can be used as a mobile storage device, such as a x-drive?

originaly its a mp3 player, but maybe I can use it for photography...

I got one to test, but right now I have no cable. so I want to know if anybody of you uses this device!

I found out that there are some updates available on the webiste. (www.creative.com) so the device should store others than mp3 and wma.
What I dont know is, if the jukebox realise if you just connect a CF card reader instead of an computer!

does anybody know if this would work?

thanks

best regards
Peter

Unfortunately not.

The only way to transfer images to a jukebox is through your computer. The nomad doesn't have any facilities to read from a card reader or from your camera.

This can be done with Apples ipod though. I have done this using their 40 gig ipod with Belkins card reader adaptor for the ipod. It seems to work well. Though you can't view or connect to a monitor to see what you have got. You still need to download to your computer for that.
