WILL THIS TRIPOD DO THE JOB

I have a canon 30d and a 100-400canon L lens. I'm considering buying a bogan monfrotto 3021B pro tripod and the 488rc2 ball head. The last thing I want is for my gear to hit the ground. So will this rig be plenty heavy enough to do the job?

yes that should be a good enough rig for the job.

that's a great combo, that'll do you well for years to come, i love my 488 head.

There'll be no problems - I've the same tripod & head using the 1DMKII and 100-400L. It's rock-solid!
