This one isn't quite available yet, but it looks very innovative

Its basically a waist/belt bag that is mated to a smaller backpack. However, the two can be readily disconnected allowing the waist pack to be rotated to the front. Thus the waist pack can be used to change lenses on the go while the back pack can hold the less used gear, second body, tripod, etc. Pretty interesting.
Think Tank gear was originally designed for professional use, but it looks like they are branching out. The quality of their gear is excellent, and their designs always show considerable thought in layout.

that's actually a good idea... a backpack that makes gear easily accessible

I used to a waste bag like that in my film days.

It wasn't too bad when I had a wast instead of a beergut. The main problem with any wate system of significant weight is it pulls your clothing down.

I saw that bag demonstrated at the PhotoPlusExpo show in New York City a couple weeks ago. It is quite innovative.

another nice touch is a short camera strap that comes with the backpack. It hooks to the chest straps of the backpack and the camera hangs at the right height for quick grab.

Did you get to handle it? Is the bag overyly heavy?
