I am looking for a tripod for my 10D, never going to be using a long lens, I have seen these any one got one of these and are they any good ?

Rick,
Your camera and Sigma lens weighs 2.6 lbs. Your listed camera and Canon lens weighs 2.8 lbs. Both of these combinations is higher than the listed maxium weight load of 2.2 lbs or 1 kilo. You might want to consider something bigger, stronger and with a higher maximum weight load.

I'd also ask if 5 ft. working height is going to be enough?
