I am new to photography and especially digital. Will my Quantaray PZ-1 DSZ speedlite be compatible with my Canon EOS digital? Thanks to anyone with the answer :D

To use a non Canon EX series flash, as a hot shoe flash with Canon digital cameras it must meet two requirements:
1. ETTL compatible(not TTL, ATTL, etc).
2. Trigger voltage less then or equal to 6 volts.
Check with your dealer or the manufacturer, or do a search above on that flash unit.

I have the Quantaray PZ-1 that I was using with my Elan IIe and it doesn't work on the Canon digital cameras. Not sure what the difference between the PZ-1 and the PZ-1 DSZ is but unless the DSZ can be set to work in manual mode, it won't work with the Canon digitals either.
