I upgraded from Windows ME to Windows 2K a few weeks ago and since then, my Canon S100 has yet to work properly.
I still have my Canon drivers disk (Version 1.0) that comes with USB TWAIN driver 3.2 and it says that it is compatible with Win2K right on the disk, yet when I load up Photoshop and press the "Play" button on the camera I get an error telling me that my camera is not connected and/or not getting power.
After that error box pops up, I get a message box saying 'would you like to install the software for your camera'? I say sure, and then I run through the steps that look like this:
http://dana.ucc.nau.edu/firststep.jpg
After this step is complete, I get this window next:
http://dana.ucc.nau.edu/secondstep.jpg
I say 'Finish' and it just keeps repeating the same two steps above until I cancel out.
I have tried going to the Canon web site and getting new(er) drivers, and uninstalling my old ones, but it seems that I must be doing something wrong because I still get the same error.
Can anyone help me - PLEASE?
