great colors. wonderful sunsets. are they PP'ed or did you actually manage to keep the water color and brightness without blowing the sky.

the first is my personal favorite, but i like the darker scenes. the second one seems a bit too unreal.

It's probably due to a small tweak in WB (Raw Shooter).
Both shots taken with SIng Ray 3 stop hard NDG and only curves and levels worked before conversion.
I was 15 min late for sunrise and sky was already washed out, but I've stayed anyway (30 min drive to shore) and compensated with contrast...

My favourites are the first two, with #2 being my pick of the bunch because of the processing. I take it that you're enjoying the 17-40? It's my favourite lens too.

I love the lens, it disciplines you with it's small apperture.
24-70 is great lens, but pretty heavy and with 1.6 crop body not giving me a lot of "in your face" effect... It's an awesome indoor portrait glass, but I like 17-40 more (maybe it's a new love?) at least for now...

So these were done with a ND filter? Was it a cokin?

Not ND, but GND. ;)

Super nice from a stellar lens _ too bad the jpeg artifacts due the compression.

Thank you everyone for critics and comments.
Now it's my turn...
#1 bad thing - no FG whatsoever
#2 bad thing - CP in full range, sky is too dark
#3 bad thing - I was 15 min late and lost most of the beautiful pre-sunrise colors...

Very nice, indeed. I really think the first two are amazing. The third one seems almost unreal, but interesting. The first sunset is so far away, almost feels like the earth is rotating in slow motion.

It's probably due to a small tweak in WB (Raw Shooter).

I've found this on some of my shots too, quite cool really :)

Great Shots...makes me wonder why I left Florida to hang out in Canada...Nothing wrong with Canada besides the fact that it is much Colder here then what I am use too this time of year.....

Thank you all again for your warmest comments and encouragement.
I've been using Canon equipment for an almost a year and my learning curve was up and down (up in Winter/Spring, down in Summer, up in a late Fall) due to an extreme heat an humidity...
Before Canon was Sony-828 and before Sony was numerous film cameras - low end POS...
CP is always on my WA lens but GND filters are my new love, amazing how they're affect your exposure.
I my opinion - Canada is most underphotographed places on Earth after Patagonia...

great shots. I'd be thrilled to be able to take such.

And to think, on the marketplace I'm currently selling that very lens.

Hmmm.
