Public ear cleaning....what will they think of next? Most interesting subject and slice of life in your country. Keep those pictures and stories coming.

Another wonderful shot of life in your corner of the world.
I hope you know that so much of your culture is alien to our own. Keep showing us these scenes of life.

Lots of fear, neurosis, aggression and ego ... but some of it is OK.
Nice shot BTW; seen the same in India and always entertaining to watch these kinds of skilled 'professionals' at work :D

Try take boat ride around old Suzhou at night. Lots of light. Nice shop mall there too, but watch your pocket! Keep money in front of pants.

LOL :)
I'm Chinese and this is so funny to me! The Chinese believe that soft wax means something vs. flaky wax, which means something else. You know, like if you are dating someone and they have soft wet wax, they may not have the personality you need. I grew up having soft wax, my sister had flaky wax. People said we were different because of that. ;) Clean ears is quite a sought after thing. I'm surprised how big that Q-Tip is, though. I would run if someone came toward me with that. :)

Our school had a tornado drill this afternoon and I was lucky enough to be next to a 5th grader who had black stuff in his ear. Hasn't cleaned it since birth. And I thought about this thread. I wanted so much to give him a box of Q-tips. Oh well. We, Chinese, are really neurotic about such things. :)
Edit: I keep forgetting. Your shots are very good. Thanks for shooting the back of the person having the deed done.

Bu Yao, I'm not familiar with the big statue, but the Gloria Plaza is at Ganjiang East Road and the Youngor is at Gongxiang Guanqian Street, very near the shopping area.
