I'm just curious for ideas because I'm only starting out myself. I like shooting beside the sea and in woodland areas.

Don't really have one as where I live is mostly new cookie cutter houses and strip malls :(.
I pretty much just jump in the car and head for some back roads in the country and hope I get lucky and find something interesting to photograph.

My favorite spot is now some 2000 miles away. When I lived in Montreal they have an animal rescue facility called the Eco Museum which is for wildlife variety not domestic. I miss that place allot.
Where I live now, I like to get in the car and head to the rocky mountains which is about an hour away.

I often walk around the nearby beaches and sea cliffs... there's often a lot of people walking around who make for interesting shots and you find all sorts of random things lying around... (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=189700, for example... though this is probably true of anywhere you find people).

Zion National Park!
I recently came back from a trip there (my second). I spent four fantastic days in the canyon. The weather was perfect and fall colors out of this world.
Other favorites are Yosemite NP, and Bannf and Jasper NPs in the Canadian Rockies.
I also love to take photos of my kids and wife, wherever we might be (indoors or outdoors).

Harajuku and Yoyogi Park in Tokyo!
They are heaven for street photography. Everywhere there is performance and lots of people! You will never run out of object.

Oahu, it was simply awesome. It has about anything any photographer could imagine. Landscapes, seascapes, bugs, flowers, birds, oceans, mountains, cityscapes. You name it, it's there. Oh, and it has Matsumoto's shaved ice and Malasada doughnuts, they are to die for... ooohhh..
And while your at it, pick up some bulgogi short ribs from Ranch99 and head out to Sunset beach. Oh wait, this was about photography, wasn't it. Ok, so take a picture of it.
