I just updated my internet explorer and now my site (http://www.blueravenphoto.com/) looks strange. I’ve looked at other ee2 site similar to my own and they have same problem. The header and footer seem to float over the site. Anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

It looks strange in Firefox 2.0 too. The Blue Raven image covers the top left of the page, and the footer is only half visible.

Great, it’s not just me, I love finding out I’m not crazy.

i see that in FF 1.5.0.8... since i'm writting this after rmantra reports fixing the header, i can say that the blue raven now scrolls with the page but the footer does stay fixed at the bottom and half visible...
it would appear to be a CSS issue... possibly with float attributes but i'm not totally certain at this point in time... CSS is a whole other ballgame compared to simply coding html and placing things directly where you want them...

how did you fix the header? change a/some CSS or another way?
one also needs to be aware that, by default, the templates and the code generated are XHTML v1.0 STRICT compliant... some changes and alterations may break this compliancy and cause all kinds of wierdness depending on the browser...
i actually had my custom header menu cause a failure in compliancy... this header was basically a copy of the default v1.5 header where a mouseover attribute was used with a few others... the validator complained that mouseover was not a valid attribute and failed the code... so i basically had to remove the mouseover hilite feature and clean it all up a bit to pass... i'll go back, later, and work it out to be like it was but this time it'll use CSS for the hilite feature stuff... i guess <shrug>...
