very pretty looker , the brightwork and colour really go well together imo , nice to see without a radical chop job for a change though the velour interior looks a bit homemade by granny:lol: looks like you had good light there too.

That's "rumbleseat", Marie. It opens up where the trunk is. In Spanish, it translates to "Mother-in-Law-Killer"! :D
I don't have a shot of one, but here's an idea of what it looks like:

I thought it may be something to do with a secret seat which lies back (or something )
and a couple were rumpled.... if caught

Nice little "T" Frank. I'm sure the original owner would have liked it this way.
(He could have visited all his patients much faster.) ;)

Beautiful car. I also like the fact that it is a relative stock body.
My wife's cousin likes to tell about when she was a child and traveled from western Tennessee to near Dallas in a rumble seat. She and her grandmother rode in the rumble seat and of course it rained most of the way so they found a #2 wash tub and held it over their heads to keep as dry as possible. Those were the "good ole days".

Those were the "good ole days". :D It makes for a great story, doesn't it? I remember trips before the freeways, stopping for every stoplight in every little one-horse town along the way. Ike deserves a huge statue in Washington! Maybe a Knighthood, too!
